Kimpton's Hotel Palomar in Los Angeles
One of the worst things for me about booking a weekend getaway somewhere is going out and experiencing the nightlife of a city on a Saturday night, then having to get up and check out of my room by 11am Sunday morning.
Thankfully, starting in May, that won’t be a problem for most guests of Kimpton Hotels for the rest of 2010.
From May 1 until December 31, the boutique hotel chain will allow guests staying overnight on Saturdays to request a 2pm check-out on Sunday. Late check-outs are based on availability – meaning as long a nobody needs your room on Sunday to check-in – so you may occasionally not be able to take advantage of this new perk. But it sure will enable one to have a little more fun on Saturday if you know you can sleep until noon.
Kimpton Hotels has properties in several major North American cities, including the newly opened Hotel Palomar in Chicago‘s River North neighborhood. These chic boutique properties are usually centrally located next to great shopping and nightlife, like the Epic Hotel in Miami’s South Beach, making them ideal bases for a fun getaway trip. Pair this extra Sunday morning perk with any number of promotions they may have running for an extra fun weekend at a savings.
